Back to reality tomorrow!

Today consisted mostly of trying to get the house more in order. It is still not done but the Christmas things are all packed up and put away... even labeled! I invested in a label maker and so far have not been disappointed! I want to label EVERYTHING!

One of the things that I still have yet to mention in my blogging is that I am a Pampered Chef consultant. I had a meeting tonight and we found out that the trip we are working for this year is to Maui, HI! It is scheduled over Phil's birthday in 2011 and Phil has always wanted to go to HI... so I feel so motivated to accomplish the sales goal for this trip! It is a lot of work but I am going to try to do it...

I also found out tonight that an ex co-worker of mine that I used to work at Applebees with is going to be on "The Biggest Loser!" Her name is Sunshine and I wish for her the best of luck! I am going to have to watch that show religiously now...

I better cut tonight's blog short and go to bed. I work from 7-5 tomorrow and I think I would regret staying up all night to blog.

I hope everyone had a marvelous Monday and has a great day tomorrow- Always keeping your smile on!!

Home again

We woke up later than we planned to today in Shell Lake and didn't actually get on the road until almost 1... I was not a happy camper about leaving so late but we still did get a lot done around the house when we got home, and had an awesome time in Shell Lake. My parents always do what they can to make it special for us every time we visit and we love going there. I love them so much and if I could change one thing about my life it would be to be even closer to them geographically.

Anyways, back to our day... we got a lot done around the house and then met Jana Dan and Sadie at California Pizza Kitchen for some dinner and then Jana and I went to see "Did You Hear About the Morgans?"... It was pretty good, a cute enough movie! Not much depth but fun to watch, and also good to get in some Jana/Kayla time. When we got home we watched an exciting episode of "Desperate Housewives," and are now ready to go to bed.

It was SO cold today. I really haven't felt completely warm all weekend with the exception of when I am in a bath tub, which I plan to do now. I don't work until 3 tomorrow, so I am going to take advantage of the time I have off during the day and get some more done here at home!

I hope everyone had a great day kept their smiles on.... I know I did!

Lazy Saturday...

We are in Shell Lake today and didn't do much at all. We went to Rice Lake this morning and ate at the Norske Nook- Had a delicious omelet wrapped in lefse... soooo good! Then we went to Wal-Mart to return a redbox and to Bargain Bills. I love that store, Phil hates it!

It was a lovely 21 degrees below zero this morning and a can of pop exploded in the jeep, prompting Phil to decide it is time for us to clean it out with a shop vac, soapy water, etc. I was irritated with the process but he was right and our car looks amazingly clean!!! I should take a picture because it never lasts long enough- We always start out with the right intentions to keep it clean. Same goes with our house....

Phil is making his dad's famous corn chowder now and my dad is playing Call of Duty II... he is worse than a kid! My mom is scuttling around helping where she can and Amanda just left to go back to Duluth. It is always so quiet when she leaves (in good ways and bad, but mostly bad!!).

I think we are going to a hockey game tonight in Spooner and then Phil and I will either head back later tonight or early tomorrow. That is about it for my day... sorry it was kind of a bore but thank you for reading! Have a great day and keep your smile on!

My first blog...

Well this should be interesting... I decided to start a blog to keep people informed of the important (and maybe not so important) things in Phil and I's life, and also to use as a reference tool to be able to look back on and remember how much fun it is to be us!! Please note that it will always be me blogging unless it is Phil or one of the beagles in which case you will be notified!! :-)

Most of you who will be reading this I am assuming know most everything about me, so I won't go into details but here is what you need to know. I am 25 years old (holy cow, almost 26!) and I live in Woodbury, MN. I am married to my husband Phil (3 1/2 years) who I met in college and can't imagine life without. We have two beagles, Heidi and Gilbert who at the moment serve as our kids. I am hoping by this time next year we actually do have a baby to call our own, but I will get more into that later. Family is very important to both Phil and I, and I couldn't imagine life without our sisters and parents, not to mention grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, etc... you get the idea! Again, more on that later. I figure I have the rest of my life to be filling everyone in, right?! I work at a childcare center called Kinderberry Hill in Woodbury where I am a pre-k teacher, and have been for the past 6 months. I absolutely love it! Phil works with computers (please don't ask me details because I haven't a clue!) at a company called Vision Share in Minneapolis and... he loves it!

I think I am going to leave the info at that and fill you in as we go. I am so excited to be doing this and I can't wait to figure out the world of blogging. If it is anything like facebook or twitter, I will be doing it all the time!!

I look forward to 2010 and all of the joy I am sure it will bring!

Have a great day! Keep your smile on!
